President’s Message ~ August 2015
“Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows everything that’s wonderful is what I feel when we’re together….”
I sang that ‘ole Leslie Gore tune in my head all the way home from our sew–in and meeting last month.
Many thanks to Julia Penna and Kathy Nester for a great day!
Even I won a door prize, and I don’t win anything! But, Daria’s enthusiasm was heard around the county. Just great to have you there Daria as was each and every one of you who set up, brought food (OMG was there food), carried an ironing board and/or iron , sewed a Stocking for a Soldier (or maybe 99 stockings! You know who you are!), was a guest, met a friend, joined BVQ, paid your dues or laughed at my joke. Whatever part you played, it was a great day and meeting.
In my opinion there isn’t an ugly baby, bride, soldier or quilt. At our August meeting, you’ll see that to be true of our challenge quilts. This year’s theme is Quilting Rocks. And rock, I know they will.
Don’t miss these quilts and the winners while enjoying an ice cream sundae. Also, Deb Kelly and Nancy Arico will be presenting a preview of our new web site. Lots to enjoy this month.
Happy to announce that Anna Waid has volunteered to join the Scholarship committee. Way to go Anna!
Since I began with a song, I just have to end with one…”On our way to Cape May…” for our 47 TH honeymoon!
See you August 11 TH,
