BVQ 2017 Holiday Gala
DECEMBER 12TH MEETING - PLEASE NOTE THAT DINNER WILL BE SERVED AT 6:30 PM
This is a social time to enjoy quilting friends and a night away from the holiday rush.
Join us for dinner and bring a dish to serve 8 (salad, entrée, or dessert) and serving utensils with your name on both. Please have your dish ready to serve. Remember to attach a note if your dish contains nuts, shellfish, curry or is gluten-free.
The members who have December Set-Up & Clean-Up will also bring drinks for the December meeting.
If you bring a friend, there will be no fee to be a part of the meeting. No cost … except a covered dish!
Please remember the covered dish meeting starts at 6:30 pm
If you would like to participate in the GRAB BAG, please bring a WRAPPED GIFT. It can be a quilting/sewing item, an ornament, or a personal item e.g. hand cream. Santa’s helper will be at the door with Santa’s bag where you will place your gift. $10 limit.
The tradition will continue singing the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, but this year there’s a twist. Since, we have sooooo many new members we thought it would be nice to meet someone new. You may meet your new best friend!
If you were not at the November meeting and did not pick out a slip with an assigned table number and want to participate WITH A PROP, then contact Kathy Silvon firstname.lastname@example.org and she will fix you up with a table number.
If you were unable to make the November meeting and don’t care to bring a prop, Kathy will seat you at a table that evening. Keep it a secret, but when you come to the dinner, sit at the designated table. E.g. 7 Swans a Swimming sit at the table marked "7." Considering a prop for your day of Christmas? Make it easy or as elaborate as you like. For instance, if you get 5 Golden Rings, look into your jewelry box! You get the idea!
Charity Quilt Contest ends with the December meeting. Please finish up your charity quilts and bring them to the meeting.
