
“Easygoing” quilt calls for 42 6-1/2" squares and 54 2-1/2" x6-1/2" rectangles .
Squares may contain small to large scale prints in mixed colors with the rectangles in solid, tone on tone or print that reads as solid. OR solid squares with print rectangles.
Attach a rectangle to the bottom of each square. There will be rectangles leftover. Arrange in rows, 6 units wide by 7 units long. Offset every other row as per picture. Label rows 1through 6 with row 1 being on the left. Add one of the leftover rectangles to the bottom square on rows 1, 3 and 5. Every other row on the bottom will have 2 rectangles. Add one rectangle to each top square of rows 1through 6. Add one more additional rectangle to the top square of rows 2, 4 and 6. Join rows together. Finish with a 2-1/2" border on the left and right sides. Quilt should measure 56" long by 41" wide. Trim side border to fit backing.
Child’s quilt should be machine stitched (not tied).
