Our new plans......

Members can bring their questions about anything and everything quilty. So put on your thinking caps to come up with questions you have.
We'd also love to see lots of Show and Tell projects folks are working on or have completed.
Look forward to seeing everyone, learning something from our panel, and seeing what everyone has been creating recently!
We plan to bring our original speaker back sometime soon.
To be rescheduled....
Kestrel Michaud is a classically-trained and award-winning fine artist, illustrator, and art quilter. She graduated with honors in 2010 from Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. Kestrel made appliqué fabric pictures for 13 years before discovering art quilts. Since then, Kestrel has adapted her process to be entirely digital, invented a method to prevent fraying when cutting fabric on a cutting machine, and added stitching to turn her designs into quilts. Her fine art training, creative mind, inventive nature, decades of experience, and unique style make Kestrel's work unlike that of any other artist. Description: AI generated art is a new technology that has taken the world by storm. Yet this new method of quickly creating works of art is controversial to say the least. In this lecture, you will learn
o What AI generated art is
o How AI art is made
o What the wider art community thinks about AI art
o The controversy surrounding AI art generators
o Challenges facing the quilting community due to AI art
o Kestrel's recommendation for ethically using AI art
Guest Fee: $5.00. Click HERE to purchase.
