JESTER ARTSPACE EXHIBITION QUILTS AS WORKS OF ART
Thank you all for submitting quilts over the last three weeks to be considered for this exhibit. Lil Koster and
Elaine O'Connell are working with the Jester Artspace volunteers to feature some of our BVQ quilts in their 2nd
exhibit since opening. Coinciding with National Quilting Month, we are featuring works of quilt art from the late
20th Century to today. Our intent is to share with exhibit guests some of the many styles and techniques that
define Quilts as Works of Art.
Now that we have your submissions, we are reviewing them all to see what we can exhibit artistically in the space provided. You will hear shortly if we have picked your quilt and will request you to provide a narrative about your quilt. In the meantime, we are asking for anyone available to volunteer for timeslots to support the install, the exhibit days, and the deinstall. Please go to SignUp Genius and volunteer! CLICK HERE!
The exhibit opens on March 7th at 5pm as a part of the Wilmington Art Loop held the first Friday evening
of each month. It then runs each Saturday in March from 11-3. It is located at 2818 Grubb Road in Wilmington.
