Sue will discuss the most common questions asked in her machine quilting classes. These include her favorite threads, batting, marking tools, and much more. She will show slides of how to successfully machine quilt your quilt on a home machine from start to finish, including her latest ruler work ideas. Some of Sue’s favorite quilts will be shown and how she quilted them. There will be time for questions at the end. This lecture is approximately 50 minutes.
Bobbi Penniman: Temperature Quilts
Saturday June 22, 1:00 PM
Have you ever thought about making a Temperature Quilt but have no idea what it is, or how to even start?  We will explore some of the many possibilities to make a Temperature Quilt that is personal to you - to your location, your time, your color play, your quilt making skills and interests (pieced? appliquéd? both?) and we will touch on some of the tools and tips to keep you on track.  You may be astonished at how Temperature Quilts have evolved from simple  colored squares to a huge variety which you might not initially recognize as a Temperature Quilt.
Bobbi has made 3 Temperature Quilts - each very different and each to commemorate unique circumstances.  She will show these and a portfolio of some exciting Temperature Quilts by friends and other makers she has met during her exploration.  She will show how she organizes fabrics in the gradations that facilitate keeping track.  And tips! Lots of tips!

You will be running out of her talk to search vendors for the fabrics you need to get started!
