Little House CottonsLittle House Cottons founder, Kristen Balouch comes from a long line of women who sew. Her grandma made family clothes, her great-grandma sewed the good year blimp, and her great-great-grandma made vaudville costumes. Kristen moved to Brooklyn, New York at age seventeen, attended Pratt Insititue, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her work has spanned over thirty years inspired by color play and the universal themes in folk art. She has authored/illustrated a dozen award winning books for children. Some Little House Cottons collections coordinate with those books, and all of her collections are playful with whimsical narratives.
