The guild had so much fun hosting Tina Curran on November 19, 2022 for a workshop called California Poppies. Here is a workshop picture, showing you the variety of poppies underway by some of the participants. Thanks to everyone who joined us and shared their talents!

Well, we are on the downward side of the rollercoaster ride to the end of the year. Before you know it, we will be ringing in the new year. Time to finish up your handmade gifts! This month we still have some spots for our workshop “California Poppies” on November 19th. It’s on Zoom so feel free to share the info with your out of state Quilt Friends. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! Keep calm and quilt on, Jen Celeste Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great show! I am in awe of all the hard work and dedication that everyone put out for that show. It was absolutely AMAZING!! I heard nothing but good things from people that attended the show and even overheard one woman say she was impressed and couldn’t believe we were a local guild. I met members that I hadn’t met before and watching the army of members and their friends and family that got this show up and running was unbelievable! So thank you Gretchen and Selina for chairing this show, to all the committee chairs that headed up each section of the show, to all our volunteers and to all the talented people that submitted quilts. Team work makes the dream work!
Now we can all get back to quilting! I know I need to work on some pillowcases and I think I have one or two charity quilts to get started on. Keep calm and quilt on, Jen Celeste |
AuthorHi I'm Deb, BVQ webmaster and official blog runner! I am a retired Medical Technologist, having worked the night shift at Chester County Hospital for 30 years. I think I have sewed forever – my mom sewed, my grandmother sewed, and in 1984 I decided to make a "blanket" for my about-to-be baby....it was 3 layers sewn together with a binding! Little did I know it was a quilt! I am basically self-taught, but continue to learn as I hang out with BVQ. My basement work area is seriously quilt cluttered and my better half asks no questions! I have too many UFO’s and want-to-do’s than I can count, but I guess that makes me a true quilter! Archives
