From July 22 to July 24th, our guild put on an incredible show after a long hiatus. Our new venue at Neumann University gave us much more room and was transformed into the perfect quilt show space. We had 19 incredible vendors, over 300 quilts on display, seven workshops and lectures, and so much more. For everyone who made it happen, thank you! It takes immense teamwork to make such a huge event happen and our guild came through big time. Our guild hopes everyone left feeling a little more inspired-- we will certainly need it for the next one!

President’s Message…..
I recently attended a retreat in the Finger Lake’s region fully expecting to see amazing fall color – it was pretty, but I must say the color around home this weekend has been amazing. Sometimes we find what we’re looking for right in our own back yards! Or maybe in our own quilt guild.. · We all follow lots of quilters on social media for inspiration, but have you seen what our own guild members are making? We have some amazing talent in BVQ!
On August 10, 2021, after over a year, BVQ met in person outside at The Thomas Bruder Life Center at Neumann University in Aston, PA. It was so nice to see such a good turnout! Looking forward to meeting in person in the months ahead. |
AuthorHi I'm Deb, BVQ webmaster and official blog runner! I am a retired Medical Technologist, having worked the night shift at Chester County Hospital for 30 years. I think I have sewed forever – my mom sewed, my grandmother sewed, and in 1984 I decided to make a "blanket" for my about-to-be baby....it was 3 layers sewn together with a binding! Little did I know it was a quilt! I am basically self-taught, but continue to learn as I hang out with BVQ. My basement work area is seriously quilt cluttered and my better half asks no questions! I have too many UFO’s and want-to-do’s than I can count, but I guess that makes me a true quilter! Archives
